Research
We are proud to have a diverse Research Committee composed of experts in mental health, public health, suicide prevention, and lived experience, ensuring our work is guided by a deep understanding of critical issues. Our research is supported by prestigious grants, including funding from the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) and the Government of Western Australia Department of Health. With these resources, we have made significant strides in developing evidence-based programs like COMPAS, aimed at identifying and supporting individuals at risk of mental health crises.
Research Committee
Our Research Committee is integral to overseeing the COMPAS research arm, ensuring the highest standards of scientific rigor and ethical integrity. The committee comprises esteemed experts in mental health, suicide prevention, lived experience, and non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI). Their diverse expertise and commitment to excellence guide the research direction, evaluate study methodologies, and ensure alignment with our strategic goals. With a focus on reinvesting research funds into suicide prevention research and necessary resources, the committee plays a crucial role in advancing innovative approaches to enhancing student mental health and wellbeing, significantly contributing to the success of the COMPAS program.
